Jeff Dolen has served as Director of Photography on 3 features, over 30 short films, and 15 commercials and music videos. These films have traveled the film festivals and garnished dozens of awards and recognition.

Dolen's passion for cinematography comes from his love of still photography. He enjoys trying to capture the essence of a shot's message through composition and lighting. He has photographed more than 50 celebrities at public events, as well as worked in portrait/fashion photography. His first photography exhibit was held in November of 2007, at La Trova House in West Los Angeles, featuring his work from projects in Brazil and Indonesia.

Dolen earned his BFA in film production at Chapman University School of Film and Television. Chapman named Dolen the Most Promising Undergraduate Filmmaker and awarded him the Dean's Award of Merit for creativity, as well as the Einstein Award which is given to one student each year for excellence in filmmaking. Dolen was twice nominated for best Cinematography for his Chevy Avalanche commercial and short film Dead End, which was also nominated for Best Picture.

His professional work in Los Angeles has also taken him to Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey, Germany, Uganda, and throughout the US. Dolen plans to serve as cinematographer on feature films and work as a freelance still photographer for travel publications such as National Geographic.
